Anyone who is unsure what hoodedrat meant by "mess up a certain program" should try closing an important system process, or deleting system32.exe. (I DO NOT ACTUALLY MEAN YOU SHOULD TRY THAT AND HERE IS WHY). If you tamper with critical systems or shut the wrong thing off, things will break. If you delete system32.exe, you just crippled your computer's basic functions. The same goes for how the mind works. As for replication, I agree whole-heartedly. Jainism says that there are five essential actions a human can take, symbolized by the anus, the sexual organs, the legs, the hands, and the mouth. The anus purifies you by removing what should not be there. The sexual organs allow you to take what exists and multiply. The legs take what exists and move it. The hands take what exists; period. What do you after you take something, including giving it back, is up to you. The mouth I say serves dual purpose: to ingest new essence and to communicate. It is the prerogative of all sentient beings to decide whether they value Excretion, Procreation, Movement, Interaction, and/or Communication enough to get involved in the process themselves. As every action has a reaction/consequences, so too does the decision not to take that course of action. Some people know the consequences and are comfortable accepting them. That is free will.
Turning then to Jevl, I didn't so much mean "super powers" as I did altering bodily functions on a more basic level. Pain tells you to take caution and not repeat what you did. Adrenaline either tells you "RUN" or "FIGHT." If you resist such impulses, you are taking willing control of your body and manipulating the results. So when a work-out fanatic tells you to "feel the burn" and keep exercising, they are telling you to exert mind-over-body and control what you are, what you can do.
